does not sell Frankenchickens

M&S signed up to the Better Chicken Commitment - which prohibits Frankenchickens - in 2017, and went on to fulfil its commitment four years ahead of schedule.

However, most of the other major UK supermarkets - including Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Iceland, Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, and Sainsbury’s - continue to use Frankenchickens.

Frankenchickens are bred to grow unnaturally fast, meaning they live short, painful lives. At just a few weeks old, many can no longer stand under their own body weight. Instead, they are forced to lie in their own waste.

Will you tell other supermarkets to end this scandal? Sign now:

Add your signature to our petition demanding that all UK supermarkets stop selling cruelly-bred Frankenchickens.

I would like to receive emails from The Humane League UK with updates on campaigns, ways to support us, and quick actions I can take for animals.*
